I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a great deal of experience providing compassionate treatments to clients in a wide variety of therapeutic settings, including intensive outpatient treatment, residential and correctional facilities, school, for profit and non-profit agencies. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Diego State University and Master of Arts degree in Psychology, emphasis in Marriage Family Therapy from Chapman University.

Background

Personal Interests

My partner and I embrace the freedom of two wheels, viewing it as more than just a hobby but a way of life. The exhilaration of gliding through the wind, the rhythm of my pedaling, and the freedom that comes with exploring the world on two wheels have ignited my deep personal interest in cycling. We also actively support environmental conservation, backing organizations like the Kings River Conservancy and the Sequoia Riverlands Trust, inspired by their dedication to preserving nature's beauty and cultural heritage.

Specialty

Certified in EMDR to alleviate PTSD symptoms, Couple's Institute trained for integrated couples therapy, Institute for Relational Intimacy trained to address sex and intimacy issues, and proficient in Cooperative Parenting and Divorce. Skilled in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and medical professionals. Experienced in working with challenging populations, such as severe disorders and actively suicidal clients with dual diagnoses, utilizing a compassionate and structured approach. Able to provide supervision for Licensed and registered clinicians (CAMFT supervision certification pending).

My Approach

As a compassionate therapist, I take an active approach at fostering a supportive environment. I strive to understand and empathize with each clients’ emotions and challenges. The compassionate approach not only creates a safe space for individuals to open up, but it also encourages healing and personal growth.

  • "Margo has a gift. A natural ability to patiently get to the core of our troubles, the core of our unhappiness. It’s not an overnight cure, it’s a process, a journey, a different path than the one I walked before therapy, and I suspect a new path awaits you too. Like a tree, we are rooted - in thoughts, beliefs and actions that cause our dissension, cause our pain. Also, like a tree, there are branches - we think are out of reach. Through Margo’s therapy, we learn to grab a hold of the lowest branch. And that initial pull, lifting ourselves, to standing on the first limb of discovery, and looking down, seeing where we just were is amazing. Then, looking up at all the wonderful branches above, we discover hope, and that second reach for a limb elevates our soul and stimulates our desire to get to the top, to live where eagles soar. - If you are willing to stretch yourself, willing to reach deeply, to change your story for the better, for the long climb, then call Margo."
