Sex Therapy

Sex Therapy is a form of therapy that focuses specifically on addressing sexual concerns and improving one’s sexual function and satisfaction.

What is sex therapy?

Margo Molina Denison, LMFT, has completed a 2-year training program with the Institute for Relational Intimacy, founded by sex educator and certified sex therapist Martha Kauppi in 2017. This training involves regular consultations, supervision, and individual or relational therapy with Martha Kauppi or her associates.

Margo specializes in addressing various sexual issues, such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, low libido, sexual pain disorders, orgasm difficulties, sexual trauma, sexual orientation or identity concerns, communication problems, and relationship issues affecting sexual intimacy. Margo is dedicated to creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can openly discuss their sexual concerns and receive appropriate guidance and support.

What can I expect?

The therapy process typically starts with an initial assessment to understand the client's sexual history, concerns, and goals. Margo uses various techniques and interventions, including education on sexual anatomy and function, communication exercises, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and exercises to enhance sexual techniques and communication skills.

It's important to emphasize that sex therapy is a confidential and respectful process, with therapists strictly adhering to ethical guidelines to ensure client safety and well-being. If you're facing sexual difficulties, seeking support from a qualified therapist can be an effective way to address your concerns and improve your sexual health and satisfaction.
