Couples Therapy

A form of psychotherapy that focuses on helping couples improve their relationship and resolve conflict.

What is couples therapy?

Couples therapy, also known as couples counseling or relationship counseling, focuses on helping couples improve their relationship and resolve conflicts. Our therapists are trained with Couples Institute and emotionally focused therapy to provide a safe and supportive environment to address issues that may be causing distress or dissatisfaction in the relationship.

The goal of couples therapy is to help couples develop better communication skills, gain insight into their patterns of interaction, and learn how to resolve conflicts in a healthy and constructive manner. Our therapists facilitate open and honest dialogue between partners and may use various therapeutic approaches and techniques tailored to the specific needs of the couple.

What can I expect?

During couples therapy sessions, couples may explore topics such as trust, intimacy, emotional connection, shared values and goals, and problem-solving strategies. The therapist helps couples identify and understand underlying issues that contribute to relationship difficulties and guides them in developing a strategy to address these issues.

Couples therapy can be beneficial for couples at any stage of their relationship, whether they are dating, engaged, married, or in a long-term partnership. It can be helpful in addressing a wide range of concerns, including communication problems, sexual difficulties, infidelity, financial disagreements, parenting conflicts, and more.
